Extremism now has an Australian accent. Recently, on Al-Arabiya, a young militant urged more terrorist attacks on the West, his voice suggesting he had lived in Australia. Like Londoners, we were suddenly confronted with the possibility that suicide bombers could be here amongst us.

Given the constraints of this kind of forum, much of value emerged. As soon as the transcript becomes available I will comment in depth. There were mad and paranoid things said on the Muslim side and on the non-Muslim side, but there were even more sound and sensible things said on BOTH sides. The Daily Telegraph it wasn’t. Thank God!
