If only it were the case that Mugabe was merely the World’s Greatest Waste of Space in Political Power. Trouble is it is far more tragic than that. Mugabe embodies all the classic hallmarks of the revolutionary who can’t handle power and costs his cause and his people far more than he ever gave them. He will be reviled down the ages by the very people he claimed to serve, should they survive his errors and the apathy or misplaced loyalty of others.
