Around the blogs: 1
If anyone out there doesn’t already know it, I commend Unleashed on our ABC where you will find a host of Aussies and others from just about every background you can imagine sounding off about just about everything. It really is quite a wonderful forum.
You may have noticed that I updated my blog roll recently, and the links page. Here’s a round-up of a few recent entries from some of the eighty to ninety blogs on the roll.
- Did unbridled capitalism leave people vulnerable to oil and food price rises? is one of the June entries on Yawning Bread, Au Waipang’s wonderful Singapore blog.
- Spare Time has Davo doing a blog round-up of his own, and tipping his hat in this direction.
- Bellingen Renewable Energy Fair is an interesting recent entry from Pip Wilson.
- Jesus and the Centurion (Part 2) on Wild Reed will get some folks going.
- Gordon Ramsay and the Sydney Food Fair get Tom going this week.
- In Coming Up for Air Bruce reveals, among other things, that he has taken note of at least something I recommended.
- Respectable is a great 1 June post on The Eclectic Garden, which is on a short break.
- White Problems – Typos on Menus is on Stuff White People Like, a very clever satitical blog:
The presence of an improper apostrophe on a menu can ruin an otherwise delicious meal for a white person. Jane Black recommends asking for an extra copy of the menu, taking out a pen and marking all of the mistakes…
- 292 – China As An Island is the latest on Strange Maps.
- How one thing leads to another is an interesting recent post by Marcellous, which has attracted a few comments. Marcellous has been doing entries on concerts and the Sydney Film Festival as well.
- Jim Belshaw’s Saturday Morning Musings – Hugh Frewen: a New England story is totally fascinating. Did you know about the Australian connection with Winston Churchill’s mother?
That’s your lot for today. If your blog hasn’t been mentioned, it may be next time.
Meanwhile, do check my blog roll.
