Sirdan and I have just been watching the reverse process, the events at Randwick now being over.
Neither M nor B came to lunch, as it happens, so the “confrontation” did not eventuate. Sirdan and I had a wonderful lunch at Chinese Whisper, yet more dishes we hadn’t tried before, and then paused at Devonshire Street to watch the passing parade.
Neither of us was nor could possibly be a grumpy old man about what we were seeing…
As for M and B, we decided that if ever they met we should start talking about The Empress, after which B and M would find so much in common that any hint of racial tension would be transcended by a recognised commonality between them…

I have just been to WYD in Sydney, and had an awesome time!
